Foiled is a hair salon sitcom written by David Charles and Beth Granville. It started life as a 5-star Edinburgh Fringe Festival show in 2016, before morphing into a BBC Radio Wales series broadcast over three series in 2017-19.
Guest stars have included Miles Jupp, Ralf Little, Sir Derek Jacobi, John Culshaw and Felicity Montagu.
In April 2019, the second radio series of Foiled was nominated for a Celtic Media Award.
Foiled has been recommissioned for a fourth series in 2020.
Foiled has also been featured on the BBC iPlayer homepage, and was selected for another airing as part of Radio 4 Extra’s St David’s Day celebrations in March 2018. Apparently that’s the first time an independent production has been plucked from Radio Wales and rebroadcast on the national airwaves. Record-breakers!
